The band appeared in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge yesterday (October 24), where they took on Empire Of The Sun\u2019s 2008 single.<\/p>\n

Wet Leg\u2019s take transforms the track from its psychedelic origins to a Strokes-indebted guitar anthem.<\/p>\n

It comes weeks after Robbie Williams<\/a> covered their track \u2018Chaise Longue\u2019 during his own Radio 1 Anthems Live Lounge appearance<\/a>, changing some of the lyrics to jokingly nod to his career.<\/p>\n

The artist altered a line in the song\u2019s first verse from\u00a0\u201cI went to school and I got a degree,\u201d\u00a0to\u00a0\u201cI joined Take That and got a pop star degree.\u201d\u00a0Later on, he interpolated some lines from his own hit, \u2018Candy\u2019 and the \u201cHey, ho, let\u2019s go,\u201d refrain from\u00a0The Ramones<\/a>\u2018 \u2018Blitzkrieg Bop\u2019.<\/p>\n

In other news, earlier this month Wet Leg shared a new, self-directed video for \u2018mangetout\u2019. The track comes from their latest album, \u2018Moisturizer<\/a>\u2018, which was released earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The follow-up to their self-titled debut came out on July 11, and soon saw them\u00a0reach the top of the UK Albums Charts \u2013 beating off competition from Oasis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the milestone, the band took aim at the Britpop giants with a tongue-in-cheek post. They uploaded a photo of Teasdale holding a vinyl copy of the album while wearing an Oasis-labelled T-shirt. However, instead of the Gallagher brothers, this t-shirt features a still from the 1994 comedy\u00a0Dumb and Dumber.<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0awarded \u2018Moisturizer\u2019 four stars<\/a>, commending it for its strength and style. \u201cAfter the whirlwind that was Wet Leg\u2019s debut album, it would have been easy for the band to capitulate under the pressure or just play it safe and remake that record,\u201d it read.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut on their second effort, they\u2019ve evolved into a smarter, sexier and altogether stronger creature. Would we still love Wet Leg if they turned into a worm? With this album under their belts, the answer is undoubtedly yes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, they surprised\u00a0fans at\u00a0Green Man<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0playing an intimate secret set before they headlined The Mountain Stage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
