Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto must feel differently, though.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_k637laxe2\">After pitching what was his second consecutive complete game in Los Angeles&#8217;s<a class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_aoxits\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/mlb\/what-we-learned-from-dodgers-masterful-win-over-blue-jays-in-game-2-of-world-series\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Game 2 World Series win<\/a> on Saturday, Yamamoto stayed behind and apparently cleaned up the trash in the Dodgers&#8217; dugout before heading back into the clubhouse, according to MLB analyst Ben Verlander.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_fbfnhrc44\">Not what you&#8217;d expect a tired pitching superstar to do <a class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_aoxits\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/mlb\/all-mlb-history-yoshinobu-yamamoto-made-complete-game-dodgers-game-2-win\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">after the game of his life<\/a>, but pretty cool he did it anyway\u2014especially because the Dodgers were visitors at Rogers Centre on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yoshinobu Yamamoto just threw his 2nd postseason Complete Game in a row then cleaned up all the trash in the dugout before going to the clubhouse <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/970KkzUiCY\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/970KkzUiCY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ben Verlander (@BenVerlander) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BenVerlander\/status\/1982280912764047634?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">October 26, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_airq2ouah\">Not only was Yamamoto&#8217;s performance great news for Los Angeles, who evened the series at 1\u20131 with a 5\u20131 victory, but it was also historic. He is now the first pitcher to throw a complete game in the World Series since 2015, and joins an elite club of just 11 pitchers to have gone the distance in a Series game dating back to 1990.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_y92uqhqp8\">Pretty sweet stuff.
