{"id":243169,"date":"2025-10-27T02:01:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T02:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/243169\/"},"modified":"2025-10-27T02:01:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T02:01:11","slug":"lundgren-on-new-masters-of-the-universe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/243169\/","title":{"rendered":"Lundgren On New &#8220;Masters of the Universe&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/lundgren-on-new-masters-of-the-universe.jpg\" data-caption=\"Cannon Films\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/lundgren-on-new-masters-of-the-universe.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"lundgren-on-new-masters-of-the-universe\"\/><\/a>Cannon Films<\/p>\n<p>Amazon MGM Studios is set to release the new live-action \u201cMasters of the Universe\u201d movie next Summer with \u201cRed, White &amp; Royal Blue\u201d and \u201cThe Idea of You\u201d star Nicholas Galitzine playing the role of He-Man.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019ll mark the second big screen He-Man following iconic action star Dolph Lundgren playing the role in the infamous 1987 feature.  Lundgren still pops up in films every now and then, so there\u2019s plenty of talk about a possible cameo in the new movie.<\/p>\n<p>Lundgren himself fanned the flames when he mentioned a secret project he was working on in London at the same time the new He-Man was filming in the UK. Now, asked about his involvement by Extra TV, Lundgren would only say: \u201cMaybe, yeah, you will have to check it out when it comes out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Various theories have swirled about who he may play, one being He-Man\u2019s ancestor, King D\u2019Vann Grayskull.  Either way, Lundgren also shared his thoughts with the outlet on what makes He-Man a different hero from all the costumed superheroes around these days:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you think a new He-Man movie makes you feel old, I feel old! I was in it! They\u2019ve been trying to remake the picture for at least 15 years, and I\u2019m glad they\u2019re doing it. There\u2019s a great cast, a great crew. It\u2019s a big budget picture with MGM\/Amazon. I think they\u2019re doing a great job.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Adam has a bit more romanticism to the character than other superheroes. Marvel and DC are a little harder-edged. There\u2019s something magical and childlike about it. And even though they\u2019re kind of making an adult picture, there\u2019s something soft and positive about that character.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new \u201cMasters of the Universe\u201d also stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress and James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as Adam\u2019s parents, King Randor and Queen Marlena.
