Bordeaux-Begles fly-half Matthieu Jalibert<\/a> and Racing 92<\/a> lock Romain Taofifenua<\/a> have joined France\u2019s ever-increasing injury list ahead of the Autumn Nations Series<\/a> after the most recent round of Top 14<\/a> action.<\/p>\n

The pair have been removed from Fabien Galthie\u2019s 42-man France<\/a> squad, and replaced by Racing fly-half Ugo Seunes<\/a> and Stade Francais\u2019 Baptiste Pesenti.<\/p>\n

The change was made a day after Montpellier<\/a> back-row Lenni Nouchi<\/a> was also forced to withdraw, and replaced by Bordeaux-Begles\u2019 Pierre Bochaton.<\/p>\n

Fears mounted over Jalibert\u2019s availability after he limped from the field in the closing stages of Bordeaux\u2019s 41-12 victory over Bayonne<\/a> in the Top 14 on Saturday. After the match, he said that it was a recurrence of a right thigh injury that has plagued him for years.<\/p>\n

His replacement, Seunes, has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season. The 24-year-old was not only competing in the Pro D2<\/a> last season with Aurillac, but was playing in the relegation play-off to avoid being demoted to France\u2019s third division. That came before a summer move to Paris to fill the void left by Owen Farrell<\/a>, where he has steered Racing to fifth in the Top 14.<\/p>\n

France already have a sizeable injury list heading into their autumn campaign, headlined by Antoine Dupont<\/a>, who continues to recover from his ACL injury.<\/p>\n

Les Bleus begin their campaign on November 8 when they host the world champions South Africa, before facing Fiji<\/a> and Australia.<\/p>\n
