Cameron Munster<\/a> has opened up on his personal battle with gambling, in the hope it will help others during gambling harm awareness week.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Munster’s issues came to a head when he had a stint in a Brisbane rehabilitation clinic as he dealt with gambling and drinking problems.<\/p>\n

An interview with News Corp four years ago revealed that he’d lost $50,000 in one day and had at least once betted on game day.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his progression, Munster was candid when talking to 9news Melbourne.<\/p>\n

“I had an issue, or didn’t understand how much of a toll it was taking on me and my family,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I probably didn’t have any responsibilities at the time.<\/p>\n

“I think for myself I was very outgoing and had a very addictive personality. You could definitely tell the bubbly person I am and the personality around people that if I got angry or moody you definitely knew something happened and it was mainly to do around gambling.<\/p>\n

“It’s always good to have a good time but last thing you want to have is that emotional toll towards friends and family and making it a very miserable day for yourself.”<\/p>\n

Munster explained he has since put steps in place and wants others to do the same.<\/p>\n

“For me I never put a deposit limit down at the start of my life and now I do and I set limits to myself.
