Indoor tournaments in Basel and Vienna finished over the weekend, with Jannik Sinner emerging victorious in the latter. <\/p>\n

Joao Fonseca<\/a> was the champion in Basel, and after beating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina<\/a>, he will now be seeded for the Australian Open<\/a> in January. <\/p>\n

Sinner hailed Alexander Zverev<\/a> after he was forced to come from a set behind and battle cramp to overcome the German in the final in Vienna. <\/p>\n

Sinner<\/a> could well go back to the top of the ATP<\/a> world rankings if he wins in Paris and Alcaraz<\/a> loses in a round before the semifinal, although it won\u2019t be for long with his points from the ATP Finals win last year, set to come off next week. <\/p>\n

Naturally, the battle for the number one spot between Sinner and Alcaraz is the hot topic of discussion in world tennis, but that\u2019s not the only thing that is up for discussion at the moment. <\/p>\n

There are some new faces in the top 10 for the first time in a little while, with Jack Draper<\/a> and the injured Holger Rune<\/a> now finally sliding off the top 10 after ending their years. <\/p>\n

For Casper Ruud<\/a> and Felix Auger-Aliassime<\/a>, it\u2019s a case of moving on up, with the two players fighting desperately to make the ATP Finals at the end of the year. <\/p>\n

Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> is clinging on to his place in Turin right now, but he could dearly do with a strong run in Paris to keep the chasing pack at bay. <\/p>\n

How the ATP rankings now look ahead of the Paris Masters<\/p>\n

It\u2019s really good to see some new faces in the top 10 of the world rankings, with things proving a little bit predictable in spaces one and two, the game needed a bit of unpredictability. <\/p>\n

Now, it would appear that some of the game\u2019s hopefuls have used the indoor swing to try and break down some barriers and finish the season with a bit of a flourish. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s great to see Ruud produce the form that has taken him to Grand Slam finals in the past, whilst Auger-Aliassime has built on reaching the semifinal at the US Open back in September. <\/p>\n
