A new war film appeared to make a dig at Jurassic Park while making it’s debut at San Diego Comic Con<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

A month before the movie hits the big screen, the cast and crew of Primitive War took the stage on July 25 at the iconic comic book convention<\/a> held in California. It marks the first time an independent dinosaur-centric action film headlined a panel at the annual event.<\/p>\n

Aware of its competition being Jurassic Park, which recently released another film that left fans divided<\/a>, Primitive War, specifically its lead actor Jeremy Levin, made sure fans were aware the iconic franchise doesn\u2019t compare to the new horror movie.<\/p>\n

On IMDb, the film\u2019s synopsis reads, \u201cVietnam. 1968. A recon unit known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. They soon discover they are not alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the panel, a new trailer was shown and during the clip, the phrase \u201cthis ain\u2019t no walk in the park\u201d was pictured.<\/p>\n

After the teaser had ended, moderator Jacob Lyngle hinted at the saying\u2019s correlation to the title of Jurassic Park<\/a>, saying, \u201cThere\u2019s a park I think of when it comes to dinosaurs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The panel had laughed it off at first but Jeremy eventually interjected, \u201cI do want to say that you have to understand this. Luke [Sparke] is an independent filmmaker. The true sense of the word he, you know, is, this is all coming from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor then took a slight dig at the film as he continued, \u201cWithout naming other films that are 100 million dollars, this movie costs $11 and and it’s all his imagination.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is something that I’m very proud to be a part of, because, you know, he, as he alluded to, is not going to the big studio being handed anything,\u201d he added, \u201cHe’s doing this all himself. So this is something that that I feel very proud to be a part of. And I think, you know, we should support more of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jeremy stood up for his new project, Jurassic Park fans defended the film’s originality on social media.<\/p>\n

On X<\/a>, one wrote, \u201cPrimitive War looks fun but I just hate the fact that they are reusing ILM\u2019s Jurassic World models and barely changing them, this is like Life on Our Planet all over again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about one of the teaser photos, another said, \u201cno because thats literally just the jurassic world trex with slight feathering on the neck.\u201d<\/p>\n
