A fan was seriously injured Monday night after falling from the upper concourse during the Penguins\u2019 game against the Blues at PPG Paints Arena.<\/p>\n

The team said in a statement<\/a> that the fan fell to the lower bowl and was immediately attended to by medics and arena personnel. The fan was then taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Another individual in the lower bowl where the fall occurred was evaluated by medics but declined being taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Public Safety said that detectives from the police bureau\u2019s Major Crimes unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding what led up to the fall.<\/p>\n

The photo appeared to show broken glass covered by a black sheet.<\/p>\n
