Jon Jones has never officially suffered a true defeat \u2013 but he is now admittedly 0-2 outside of the cage with an old sparring partner.<\/p>\n
The legendary two-weight world champion did, of course, lose a disqualification<\/a> to Matt Hamill<\/a> in his fourth UFC fight. But other than that wildly controversial call for a rule that has since been changed, he is undefeated with one of the greatest CVs in the sport\u2019s history.<\/p>\n As a result, there is little to no record of him ever tasting defeat, except for one infamous training room story. Tonight, he reunited with Adlan Amagov<\/a>, the former UFC welterweight<\/a> who reportedly KO\u2019d him on the mats, for a brief \u2018rematch\u2019 at a Russian bare knuckle boxing event.<\/p>\n Jon Jones admits defeat in \u2018rematch\u2019 with Adlan Amagov<\/p>\n Jon Jones<\/a> made an appearance tonight at an IBA Bare Knuckle boxing show in Russia, where he was brought out as guest of honor. After an initial display to the crowd, he was brought into the ring a second time to meet with his old teammate.<\/p>\n \u201cAdlan\u2019s the only man [to beat me],\u201d Jones admitted when asked about their infamous sparring session. \u201cA beautiful human being, brother. I just love the way that he\u2019s so loved and beloved by his people and I\u2019m honored to have had my time with him.\u201d<\/p>\n When the host asked if they would do a stare down, Jones turned it down and joked \u201cI don\u2019t want no more.\u201d <\/p>\n They then had a brief 10-second touch spar, at which point the UFC legend jokingly told his rival \u201cno spin kicks\u201d. However, he didn\u2019t stick to that rule as he threw one of his own, which allowed him to be caught in a body lock which ended the \u2018rematch\u2019.<\/p>\n Once that was over, Jones gestured to the crowd that the score was now 2-0 to the Russian as the pair laughed off their differences. \u201cNot again!\u201d He declared.<\/p>\n Jon Jones was knocked out by Adlan Amagov during infamous sparring session<\/p>\n Former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit<\/a> was the first to reveal the story of Jon Jones\u2019 infamous spar with Amagov.<\/a> The Russian had a solid run in the UFC, winning his two fights in the promotion, but never had a massive career in the sport.<\/p>\n This is all not to mention that Amagov was a welterweight, while Jones was light-heavyweight champion at the time and outside of camp was likely well into heavyweight. He would eventually go on to win the belt there as well.<\/p>\n Jones recalled the story in a social media video shared by Home of Fight where he spoke to a friend of Amagov\u2019s. \u201cAdlan Amagov KO\u2019d me, very true story,\u201d he explained in broken English. \u201cSpinning back kick, boom, me down.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s okay, sometimes it happens.
