But after Mayweather ended half a decade\u2019s worth of speculation with a points win \u2013 a big-money rematch never materialised \u2013 but talks refused to go away. <\/a><\/p>\n Now, over ten years later and the two boxing icons are back in negotiations for a shock rematch. <\/p>\n Netflix \u2013 the sport\u2019s newest broadcast players \u2013 are ready to front the cash for the fight \u2013 eyed for March or April. <\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t TY BREAKER<\/p>\n Tyson vs Mayweather update as icon’s team hit back at Jake Paul fight fix claim<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n The streaming giants exploded onto the boxing scene last November when Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson \u2013 with over 100 MILLION tuning in.<\/p>\n Terence Crawford\u2019s win over Canelo Alvarez also brought 43m Netflix viewers<\/a> while Paul takes on Gervonta Davis in a November 14 exhibition bout. <\/p>\n It is not clear if Mayweather, 48, will put his prestigious 50-0 professional record on the line or whether he will return for another spectacle bout. <\/p>\n But the American icon has teased a comeback to defend his undefeated legacy in 2026. <\/a><\/p>\n BEST FREE BETS AND BETTING SIGN UP OFFERS<\/p>\n He officially retired after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor<\/a> in 2017 \u2013 but has continued to box in exhibition bouts since. <\/p>\n Mayweather<\/a> has faced boxers, MMA fighters and social media influencers in his retirement tour \u2013 last facing the grandson of notorious mob boss John Gotti in August 2024. <\/p>\n He has signed to face Tyson in an exhibition next year<\/a> \u2013 but those plans could be KO\u2019d if Pacquiao, 46, gets there first. <\/p>\n The Filipino great returned to the ring in July to controversially challenge for Mario Barrios\u2019 WBC world title despite four years in retirement. <\/p>\n And he was deemed unfortunate to walk away with just a draw \u2013 failing in his bid to become champ once again. <\/p>\n Pacquiao has vowed to fight on but also celebrated becoming the Vice President of IBA Pro \u2013 who welcome Mayweather to a rematch. <\/p>\n Al Siesta, IBA Pro\u2019s Director General, told SunSport in Manila: \u201cI think he\u2019s got some fight in him still and if he wants to fight, we will endorse that. <\/p>\n \u201cWe are welcoming Floyd Mayweather against Manny Pacquiao at IBA Pro. We will be delighted and honoured to stage the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n IBA \u2013 formerly known as AIBA \u2013\u00a0lost its Olympic recognition in 2023 over allegations of corruption. <\/p>\n They continue to host amateur world championship events but have now moved into the world of pro boxing \u2013 with Pacquiao<\/a> now a key part of their operation. <\/p>\n Siesta said: \u201cWe\u2019re gonna be collaborating together and doing some good work together.
