Rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu popularly known as Odumodublvck <\/a>has revealed how his stage name originated.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with BET Network, the rapper explained that the name came from a childhood moment that unexpectedly stuck.<\/p>\n

\u201cOdumodu means masquerade. So I tried to scare someone and he called me that name and I was like, \u2018no don\u2019t call me that,\u2019\u201d he recalled. \u201cYou know it\u2019s that name you don\u2019t want to be called.\u201d<\/p>\n

The name eventually caught on after an encounter involving his mother. \u201cOne day my mom came to visit me in school and they were like, \u2018yo, Odumodu\u2019s mom is around,\u2019 and she\u2019s like, \u2018who\u2019s that?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018that\u2019s what it is,\u2019 then I started making music,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Before adopting the name, the rapper went by another moniker, which he now dismisses as forgettable.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe name I had first was T Flows \u2013 whack name. There are probably like a hundred thousand T Flows in the world, but there\u2019s only one Odumodublvck,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Odumodublvck added that his choice to embrace the name was deliberate, despite how others reacted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I didn\u2019t bear that name Odumodublvck till the end of the world, there would never have been another Odumodublvck. When I told my friends that my name\u2019s going to be Odumodu Blvck they started laughing. I said, \u2018yes, that\u2019s the point. That\u2019s the name there,\u2019\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n
