The Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship kicked off a couple of weeks ago with a double header in Moreton Bay, Australia, where Quad Lock Honda\u2019s Dean Wilson<\/a> took a popular, and emotional, weekend sweep after his mom passed away the morning of Sunday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n Round three went off Saturday night inside Sharks Stadium in Cronulla, New South Wales, \u00a0just outside of Sydney. Wilson continued his perfect season, but not without a bit of drama.<\/p>\n In the first SX1 heat Wilson came into a bowl turn on lap one way too hot on race leader Dylan Walsh<\/a>. Wilson ended up tipping over while trying to avoid contact and was forced to make a charge from last, eventually getting up to third by the end of the short heat race. Meanwhile, it was his teammate, Frenchman Cedric Soubeyras<\/a>, taking off with the heat win. In heat two it was fastest qualifier, Luke Clout<\/a>, taking his Empire Kawasaki to the heat win.<\/p>\n Main event one saw Wilson take an early lead and check out with the win. Clout shadowed Wilson in second but could not quite match the pace. Behind them was CDR Yamaha\u2019s Phil Nicoletti<\/a>, who ran third for much of the race. Nicoletti battled his teammate, Aaron Tanti<\/a>, for the final podium spot early on until the two got together after the finish line, taking Tanti out of the race! Nicoletti would fade to fifth after being caught and passed by his other CDR Yamaha teammate, Mitchell Harrison<\/a>, as well as Quad Lock Honda\u2019s Cedric Soubeyras<\/a> late in the race.
