Captain America<\/a> is a dad!<\/p>\n

Actor Chris Evans<\/a> and his wife Alba Baptista<\/a> have welcomed their first child together, with the news first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by People<\/a> magazine.<\/p>\n

Their daughter is taking both of her parents’ surnames, according to a birth certificate shared by TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeffAlma Grace Baptista Evans was born on Friday afternoon in their home state of Massachusetts.<\/p>\n

The couple, who were first linked in 2022, are yet to comment on the arrival of their daughter, whose first name means “soul”.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old actress \ufeffand 44-year-old Hollywood heartthrob had fans speculating they were expecting after Baptista’s dad commented on a Father’s Day post in June.<\/p>\n

“Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming!,” Luiz Baptista wrote.\ufeff<\/p>\n

\"Chris\ufeffAlma Grace Baptista Evans was born to the couple on Friday afternoon in their home state of Massachusetts. (Instagram)<\/p>\n

The pair wed in a private ceremony in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in September 2023 but only confirmed the nuptials a month later<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I got married,” Evans said at New York Comic Con in October 2023.<\/p>\n

“We kinda had two ceremonies – we had one on the east coast [and] we did one in Portugal. My wife’s Portuguese.”<\/p>\n

He said at the time the dual ceremony wedding was a lot of planning and they were relieved to be enjoying time together as newlyweds.<\/p>\n

“Now that we’re through that, we’ve just kinda been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favourite season,” he said.<\/p>\n

And now in the US autumn two years on, Evans has got his dream, having spoken publicly about wanting to start a family with his dream girl.\ufeff<\/p>\n
