Keaon Koloamatangi is set to test his worth on the market<\/a>, conceding he is still awaiting a compelling offer to extend his stay with South Sydney.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal with the Rabbitohs<\/a> and has little desire to part ways with the club but may be forced to if a good offer is not forthcoming.<\/p>\n

Speaking to 9News, Koloamatangi, who is currently touring with the Kangaroos<\/a> for the Ashes, was unsure if his management were in talks with Souths to work out what his future holds.<\/p>\n

But the forward was sure of the monetary value of some deals that could come his way.<\/p>\n

“I’m off contract November 1,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been communicating with my manager back in Sydney. I’m not too sure if they (his management and the Rabbitohs) are talking at the moment to try and get something sorted. <\/p>\n

“At this stage, I think I am [going to the market]. But hopefully Souths come to the table.”<\/p>\n

Koloamatangi’s manager, Tyran Smith, is also in charge of Broncos prop Payne Haas, who is also coming off contract<\/a> and is currently on a deal worth roughly $1.1 million per season.<\/p>\n

Koloamatangi sees his value getting up towards the $1 million-a-season mark.<\/p>\n

“I am a front rower now, I’ve seen the money they have been getting,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully my manager can sort something out soon.”<\/p>\n

Koloamatangi admitted that his sole focus for the time being is on the Ashes series with the Kangaroos, having just made his Test debut for the side at Wembley Stadium last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“My focus is here,” he continued. <\/p>\n

“I was just very grateful (to debut for Australia) and that I was able to do it in such a great stadium,” Koloamatangi added, reflecting on his debut game.<\/p>\n

“My trainer at Souths is from the UK and he told me that is every UK kid’s dream, to play a game at Wembley. For me to be able to do it as a kid from Australia, I’m just very grateful and honoured.”<\/p>\n

As for whether he will remain in the green and gold jersey for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup or return to Tonga, Koloamatangi was tight-lipped. <\/p>\n
