To be honest, I am not a fan of the word \u2018retirement\u2019. It often conjures images of slippers and watching Days of Our Lives.<\/p>\n
What I prefer is \u2018choice\u2019 \u2013 the choice to work, travel, volunteer or slow down on your terms.<\/p>\n

There is plenty of noise online about how much is \u2018enough\u2019. But your goals are not the same as someone else\u2019s, so don\u2019t compare.<\/p>\n

A good strategy allows you to pivot without panic. And yes, the most common thing I hear is: \u201cI wish I\u2019d started sooner.\u201d<\/p>\n
My advice is to start. Financial advice may seem like an added cost but the value it brings through smarter planning strategies, tax planning, avoiding costly mistakes and having someone in your corner makes it worth every cent.\u00a0I always say: \u201cHope is not a strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n
