Full story HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Read Also:<\/p>\n<p>It seems very likely that Sam Mayer\u2019s season will have ended a week early due to his r<a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/nascar-xs\/news\/sam-mayer-rails-against-jeb-burton-post-race-payback-martinsville\/10771408\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">etaliatory intentional crash of Jeb Burton after the checkered flag on Saturday<\/a> following the Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR Senior Vice President of Competition Elton Sawyer addressed the incident during a Tuesday morning appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll meet with our team at the R&amp;D Center today, and I know some data and information has already been gathered on that situation,\u201d Sayer said. \u201cI expect something to come out of that. I don\u2019t know exactly what that will be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving those types of incidents after the checkered flag. It\u2019s not something we\u2019re going to tolerate. So we\u2019ll get with our team today and determine what will happen.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Who all meets to discuss an incident like this?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the series director, in this case, Eric Peterson, running point,\u201d Sawyer said. \u201cHe\u2019ll talk to both drivers, Sam and Jeb, to get their side of the story. We\u2019ll go back and look at all the replays, plus the race in its entirety, to see what unfolded early on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take all that, sit down and look at similar incidents, and determine how we will move forward.
