Former Fremantle forward Jack Delean<\/a> has returned to his former SANFL side South Adelaide following his Dockers delisting.<\/p>\n

Delean spent two years in Western Australia after being drafted as the 60th pick in the 2023 AFL Draft<\/a> and failed to make an AFL<\/a> debut.<\/p>\n

Instead, the energetic 182cm forward played 35 games for WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder<\/a>, 28 of which came at the senior level.<\/p>\n

Delean has since decided to return to the Panthers to continue his career, with South Adelaide announcing the return of the 20-year-old on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club helped with my development throughout my teenage years and eventually that led to me getting drafted, which I’ll be forever grateful for. I’ve heard how well the culture is at the moment and I’m excited to be a part of that,” Delean said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m most excited to get to know everyone and play with some of my old teammates again and bring some success back to South Adelaide.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI matured a lot and learnt how to be a professional athlete and I’m hoping to help my teammates that are striving to be the best, as well as showcase my best footy on game day\u201d<\/p>\n

Delean played three senior games for South Adelaide during his draft year, booting a pair of goals in each game while averaging 8.7 disposals and 2.0 tackles per outing.<\/p>\n

The signing of Delean adds to the off-season addition of Riley Baldi, who joined the club from VFL outfit Casey in the past week.<\/p>\n

Delean was one of eight players to leave Fremantle this off-season, joined by James Aish<\/a>\u00a0(retired),\u00a0Will Brodie<\/a>\u00a0(Port Adelaide Power<\/a>),\u00a0Nat Fyfe<\/a>\u00a0(retired),\u00a0Odin Jones<\/a>\u00a0(delisted),\u00a0Quinton Narkle<\/a>\u00a0(retired),\u00a0Liam Reidy<\/a>\u00a0(Carlton Blues<\/a>) and Michael Walters<\/a> (retired).<\/p>\n
