The global reshuffle was confirmed in an internal staff email obtained by this website titled \u201ctough day\u201d, which was distributed overnight from CEO David Ellison, who outlined plans to \u201creduce the size of our workforce\u201d as part of efforts to \u201cposition Paramount for long-term success.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to be as open and direct as possible about the reasons behind these changes,\u201d Ellison wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn some areas, we are addressing redundancies that have emerged across the organisation.<\/p>\n
In others, we are phasing out roles that are no longer aligned with our evolving priorities and the new structure designed to strengthen our focus on growth.<\/p>\n

Around 1,000 positions are expected to be affected across Paramount\u2019s global operations this week, but insiders say Channel 10 will avoid direct impact.<\/p>\n
One staff member told TV Blackbox that those who have remained at the network through earlier rounds of redundancies have already \u201cendured enormous change.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are no more jobs left to cut; only dedicated staff work tirelessly to keep the network running and the lights on,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n
While the US parent is grappling with corporate change following Ellison\u2019s takeover in August, morale at the Australian arm is said to be \u201cmostly positive.\u201d<\/p>\n
Channel 10 is focused on finishing 2025 on a strong note, with the highly anticipated return of Big Brother to its original home and the premiere of new scripted comedy series Ghosts Australia.<\/p>\n
