{"id":250870,"date":"2025-10-30T12:23:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/250870\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T12:23:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T12:23:10","slug":"tarran-mackenzie-feeling-like-my-old-self-at-end-of-2025-worldsbk-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/250870\/","title":{"rendered":"Tarran Mackenzie \u201cfeeling like my old self\u201d at end of 2025 WorldSBK season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">A mid-season team change for Tarran Mackenzie was not in the British rider\u2019s plans, but he says he was back to feeling \u201clike my old self\u201d at the final round of the 2025 WorldSBK season.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2025 was Mackenzie\u2019s third year in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World Superbike<\/a>, but continued poor results at the MIE Honda team led the two parties to split after the sixth round of the season at Misano.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/995289\/scott-redding\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scott Redding<\/a> departed the MGM Bonovo team to return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/bsb\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BSB<\/a> after the Donington round, the German team\u2019s Ducati became available and it signed Mackenzie to fill it.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mackenzie was able to take points finishes in nine of the 15 races he started with Bonovo, including four top-10s \u2013 three of which came at the final round in Jerez.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For Mackenzie, the end to the season was a justification of his place in World Superbike.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe past 3 years in this paddock have been a bumpy road to say the least,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/1044102\/tarran-mackenzie\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tarran Mackenzie<\/a> wrote in a social media post after the final round.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cA lot of crashes, self doubt and wondering if I\u2019m good enough to be here. So to end the season like I did [in Jerez] was amazing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSuperpole \u2013 P7, and Race 2 \u2013 P8.
