{"id":251395,"date":"2025-10-30T17:55:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T17:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/251395\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T17:55:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T17:55:11","slug":"ai-ogura-more-in-line-with-the-other-riders-in-malaysian-motogp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/251395\/","title":{"rendered":"Ai Ogura &#8220;more in line with the other riders\u201d in Malaysian MotoGP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1043649\/ai-ogura\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ai Ogura<\/a> once again paid the price for a lowly grid position before showing podium-level pace during the middle stages of the Malaysian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the same weekend as he officially lost the Rookie of the Year contest to Fermin Aldeguer, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/trackhouse-motogp-team\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trackhouse<\/a> rider fought back from 17th to 12th in Saturday\u2019s Sprint, then battled for eighth for much of Sunday\u2019s grand prix.<\/p>\n<p>Ogura eventually crossed the line in tenth, just 0.5s behind Luca Marini at the head of the group and ahead of Marco Bezzecchi to finish as the top Aprilia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, I\u2019m quite happy with my race,\u201d Ogura said. \u201cI think during this weekend, compared to the last few races, it\u2019s clear that I\u2019m much more in line with the other riders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYet, there is still a lot to improve. I think he had a good recovery from 17th to finish top ten. Especially at the end, he was very fast, had a good pace and did some good overtakes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, this was a good job, we are quite pleased with that.
