Calling all multitaskers: our time is now. Samsung has just dropped not one, but TWO new phones.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Galaxy Z Flip7 are set to take your time management skills to the next level with double the screens (AKA, even more room to multi-task). The one-screeners just wouldn’t get it. While they’re stuck in the past, you’ll be too busy talking to your personal AI assistant.

From all the funky new features to when these are hitting shelves, here’s everything you need to know about the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.

@milesabovetech This Z Fold7 is my next daily driver for sure! #galaxyunpacked #samsung #zfold7 #milesabovetech #techgadgets #android ♬ lazy – PonPieHi

Design

The rumours are true. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is the thinnest and lightest Fold yet, so say bye-bye to heavy pockets.

Plus, if you’re a notorious klutz like me, then boy are you in for a treat. The Galaxy Z Fold7 features Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the cover screen and an Armour Aluminium frame, giving you some added peace of mind.

Camera

The camera quality has received a massive upgrade in the Galaxy Z Fold7. It features a high-resolution 200MP main sensor and a 10MP sensor on both the main and cover screens. Shoot like a pro, then edit on the go in widescreen.

The other feature that caught my eye was the upgraded visual process, which allows you to capture more detail, even in low light.** There’s nothing more frustrating than your travel pics not doing the scenery justice, so I, for one, am enthralled.

Oh! And the Ultra-Wide camera now supports auto-focus for macro photography. In simple terms, it won’t look blurry when you zoom in on that funky bird during your next weekend hike. Winning.

AI

The multi-screen feature isn’t the only futuristic part of the Galaxy Z Fold7. There’s even an intuitive Gemini Live AI assistant, designed to help boost productivity and creativity.*** It’ll be able to respond to your voice and even analyse any data you throw its way — from text, images, audio, video, sensor data and more (this is also known as multi-modal processing, if you wanted to get fancy-schmancy).

Battery

I know what you’re thinking. “Oh, Emily, this sounds great and all, but what about the battery life?” First of all, patience is a virtue. Second, the Galaxy Z Fold7 now features a powerful self-optimising battery, meaning that it’ll adapt to your usage patterns to save power. In other words, yes — you can film Kendrick Lamar’s set without ruining your vibe.

Display

Samsung must’ve heard our wishes, as the Galaxy Z Fold7 now has an even wider cover screen, so you can maximise your multitasking potential. Your boss’ll think you’ve been possessed.

The main screen has also gotten larger, and watching your fave show on the go is about to become so much easier. I bet the stranger on the train watching Peaky Blinders over your shoulder is cheering, too.

When and where can I get my hands on the Galaxy Z Fold7, and how much will it cost?

You can preorder the Galaxy Z Fold7 right now at participating Samsung retailers, with the phone officially releasing on August 1, 2025. The Galaxy Z Fold7 will retail for $2,899, and you can buy it here.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, but still want to experience the magic of the Galaxy 7 series, then the Galaxy Z Flip7 is for you. Personally, I love all the cool camera features so I can take the best snaps on holiday. Let me break it down for you.

Flex Mode

Get this: the Galaxy Z Flip7 has a feature called Flex Mode.**** In a nutshell, the phone will tilt to capture selfies and group shots at angles between 75° and 115°. Plus, it’s hands-free and stands up on its own, so you won’t have to be that guy asking a rando to snap a pic in front of the Eiffel Tower. Say cheese!

Design

The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a larger screen and a slimmer design than its predecessor, with a full cover screen and an even bigger main screen. In other words, this phone is literally ready for anything you need it to do. Netflix binge? Photo editing? Travel vlogging? Tick, tick, tick.

Camera

The good news is that, just like the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7 has a built-in Pro Visual engine (AKA an image and video enhancer), helping you capture stunning photos no matter the time of day.***** Your Insta feed is not ready.

Battery

The Galaxy Z Flip7’s charge has also received an upgrade, featuring a larger 4,300mAh battery.****** If you’re not tech-savvy, that’s a big battery. So whether you’re working, gaming or watching shows on the go, you’re covered.

Galaxy AI

The same Gemini Live assistant is also available on the Galaxy Z Flip7, where it can respond to your voice and help you search through any audio, text or visuals.***

If you want to downsize from the Galaxy Z Flip7, you can opt for the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. It has all your fave features (and this phone’s even more affordable, mind you), with an added Flex Cam. In short, this new feature recognises the subjects of the photo and adjusts them to fit, helping you get the perfect shot every damn time. No more family members being cropped out (unless you want them to be, but I won’t tell if you won’t).

When and where can I get my hands on the Galaxy Z Flip7 / FE, and how much will it cost?

You can preorder the Galaxy Z Flip7 / FE right now, with its launch scheduled for August 1, 2025. The Galaxy Z Flip7 will cost $1,799, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE will cost $1,499 at participating Samsung sellers.
