DICK Johnson Racing has opted to replace Will Davison<\/a> for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.<\/p>\n

Davison was under contract for next season (different to the one-plus-one arrangement Richie Stanaway<\/a> had with PremiAir Racing) but he will not see out the second year of his deal.<\/p>\n

He will, however, continue on for the rest of this year, allowing him to enter Supercars\u2019 esteemed 600-race club next month at Sandown.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll become just the fifth driver to reach that milestone, after Craig Lowndes<\/a>, Garth Tander<\/a>, Mark Winterbottom<\/a> and James Courtney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of Davison\u2019s 599 Supercars Championship races to date, 321 have come with DJR across two stints (2005-08, 2021-25).<\/p>\n

But there\u2019ll be just five more in Shell V-Power colours.<\/p>\n

\u201cWill\u2019s been family to us, and that won\u2019t change. He\u2019s a champion and a true professional,\u201d said team founder Dick Johnson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese last two rounds, we\u2019ll be doing everything we can to send him off with the results he deserves. That\u2019s what you do for blokes like Will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davison said: \u201cI\u2019ve had two great stints with this team, and I\u2019m incredibly proud of what we achieved together.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the right time for both of us to move forward. To achieve 600 starts at Sandown \u2013 a track that means so much to my family \u2013 is special.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be giving it everything across these final two rounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Super2 Series leader Rylan Gray<\/a> has for weeks been heavily linked to DJR, where Brodie Kostecki will continue on in 2026 as the team\u2019s spearhead.<\/p>\n
