Olympic wrestling gold medalist, Gable Steveson, looked to continue his combat sports rise opposite local slugger, Billy Swanson, earlier tonight (Thurs. Oct. 30, 2025) inside The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee at Dirty Boxing 4.<\/p>\n
Just last month, Steveson made his professional MMA debut and easily won via first-round knockout<\/a>. In the DBX ring, however, the amount of wrestling allowed is very limited, which made for an interesting challenge for the Jon Jones-trained prospect<\/a>. Swanson isn\u2019t a known name, but \u201cBig Sexy\u201d has at least competed for legitimate MMA promotions like PFL and Bellator.<\/p>\n It didn\u2019t matter at all.<\/p>\n Swanson threw the first punch of the fight, a left hook that came up short. A moment later, Steveson exploded into an extended combination that immediately hurt Swanson. Two hard uppercuts connected, and then Swanson hit the floor hard. Before the referee could intervene, Steveson followed up with a nasty series of ground strikes that served as an exclamation point to another vicious knockout.<\/p>\n Check out the highlight clip below:<\/p>\n After the win, Steveson rushed into the crowd and hugged \u201cBones\u201d Jones. I know it\u2019s a little early to anoint Steveson the future of the UFC Heavyweight division, but the 25-year-old has knockout power to go along with world-class wrestling, and the division has never been weaker<\/a> \u2026<\/p>\n Expect him in the UFC sooner than later.<\/p>\n
