\n\t\t\t\t\tAfter seven years, seasoned anchor Chris Bath will wrap at the end of the year.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

Chris Bath is departing 10 News in what has been reported as a cost-cutting measure.<\/p>\n

News.com.au claims<\/a> the broadcaster has decided not to renew her contract.<\/p>\n

Bath has been with 10 since 2018 on both The Project and 10 News, most recently as a weekend news presenter. She has been hosting a 90-minute national Saturday evening bulletin as well as a separate 90-minute Perth bulletin and a one-hour Sunday evening bulletin for both markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to insiders, after seven years at 10, Bath was deemed too expensive for 10 to keep on its books,\u201d it reported.<\/p>\n

Rumours swirled last December she might be departing after radio duties at ABC.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite reports to the contrary (I) will be showcasing the excellent work of the fine #TenNewsFirst team & see you on the telly for @10newsfirst @channel10au all weekend & in 2025 too\u2026. There\u2019s TV life in the old girl yet\u2026.\u201d she wrote at the time.<\/p>\n

Her departure comes after 10 News+ was renewed for 2026 but cut back to 30 minutes, with no job losses, and as Paramount worldwide is jettisoning staff -so far Paramount Australia seems to have been spared an immediate impact. \u2018Bathie\u2019 may suggest otherwise.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks 10 News has also seen Georgie Tunny in the anchor chair.<\/p>\n
