Williams’s managerial CV includes spells at Swindon Town and Notts County with time as Russell Martin’s assistant at MK Dons and Swansea in between. <\/p>\n
His last job was as manager at Swansea where he was in charge from January 2024 to February 2025 before leaving the club after seven defeats in nine Championship matches. <\/p>\n
“I think now I’m only left to tick off the Premier League at some point and then I’ve done every division,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I’ve learned so many things along the way and hopefully those experiences help me in this one.<\/p>\n
“I think that there’s some really talented players in there and I think we saw today in training that there’s a belief and a good attitude towards the work.<\/p>\n
“We need to try to have the fittest, strongest team that we can have and get the right combination on the pitch together and find the rhythm and the winning mentality.”<\/p>\n
His first game in the dugout is against Cardiff City in the FA Cup 1st round on Saturday. <\/p>\n
