Prince Andrew has been stripped of his royal titles and told to leave Royal Lodge, the mansion he’d been living in for more than 20 years.<\/p>\n
So where will he live now?<\/p>\n

Where did Prince Andrew live?<\/p>\n
He had been living at Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion on the grounds of Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n
The mansion features a gardener’s cottage, seven bedrooms, and a so-called gothic saloon.<\/p>\n
But he didn’t own the sprawling property, he was renting it from the Crown Estate after signing a 75-year lease in 2003.<\/p>\n
Royal Lodge is a large mansion on the estate surrounding Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n

The deal has been hotly scrutinised, with the BBC reporting his rent was described as a “one peppercorn (if demanded)”<\/a> per annum \u2014 which effectively meant paying nothing.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, he was responsible for paying for the upkeep and maintenance of the 300-year-old mansion.\u00a0<\/p>\n But as of this week, that arrangement is no more, with Andrew told to surrender the lease and move to private accommodation<\/a>.<\/p>\n Where will Prince Andrew live now?<\/p>\n Andrew will be moving to Sandringham Estate, an 8,000-hectare area, owned by his brother King Charles III.\u00a0<\/p>\n The king will be funding Andrew’s new living arrangement.\u00a0<\/p>\n Where is Sandringham Estate?<\/p>\n It’s in an area called Norfolk, about two-and-a-half hours’ drive north of London.<\/p>\n Sandringham Estate includes Sandringham House and its 24-hectare gardens \u2014 the royal family’s country retreat.\u00a0<\/p>\n This is where the royal family gathers for Christmas.<\/p>\n Those photos you see each year of the royal family walking down a driveway at Christmas are of them walking to St Mary Magdalene Church, which is on the estate.\u00a0<\/p>\n Earlier this month, it was reported that Andrew would not be invited to take part in the family’s Christmas celebrations.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0(Reuters: Toby Melville)Where on the estate will Andrew live?<\/p>\n That’s not clear.\u00a0<\/p>\n Buckingham Palace hasn’t said where exactly he will live, so the specifics are up for speculation.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sandringham Estate isn’t just one big palace \u2014 it encompasses many buildings and lots of land.\u00a0<\/p>\n Beyond the grounds of Sandringham House, there’s the 240-hectare Royal Parkland as well as about 4,000 hectares of farmland and residential properties in 13 villages<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The estate’s website regularly has listings of vacant homes for locals to rent.\u00a0<\/p>\n British media has been speculating about which of the properties within the estate Andrew may soon call home.\u00a0<\/p>\n Some outlets, including Hello magazine, have been speculating it could be Wood Farm<\/a>, a five-bedroom house Prince Philip lived in after he retired in 2017 \u2014 but the BBC reports Andrew won’t be living there<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Times has also raised the possibility of York Cottage<\/a>, which some outlets touted as a possible home for Prince Harry and Meghan after their marriage<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n It also suggested the potential for Andrew to move into Gardens House, a home that was reportedly listed on AirBnb in 2022<\/a> as “charming countryside retreat for up to eight guests”.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Express has also put forward the possibility of Park House<\/a>, the birthplace of the late Princess
