The Maybank Championship has only been on the LPGA schedule since 2022, but it sports one of the largest prize money payouts of any event on tour. The overall purse this week at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club is $3 million, which makes it one of just 10 events, excluding majors and the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, that offer that much or more. This week\u2019s winner will claim $450,000 for her victory.<\/p>\n
Eighteen of the 27 players who have been victorious in 2025 are competing in this week\u2019s event, including World No. 1 Jeeno Thitkul, the only player with more than on tournament title to her credit. The no-cut 72-hole tournament has 78 players in the field, including three amateurs.<\/p>\n
