{"id":254596,"date":"2025-11-01T03:21:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T03:21:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/254596\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T03:21:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T03:21:16","slug":"perths-cle-morgan-to-compete-in-the-voice-all-female-grand-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/254596\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth\u2019s Cle Morgan to compete in The Voice all-female grand final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Cle Morgan found the courage to return to music as a way to navigate the heartbreaking loss of her beloved wife, but she never thought she would be singing her heart out in The Voice grand final.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The 44-year-old Perth-raised, now Melbourne-based star will take to the stage on Sunday for a historic all-female grand final against fellow contestants Alyssa Delpopolo, Bella Parnell and Cassie Henderson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Morgan\u2019s longevity on the show comes thanks to words of wisdom from her coach and Irish superstar Ronan Keating, who she brought to tears with a heartbreaking story after her audition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The John Curtin College of the Arts graduate said she\u2019d decided to try out for The Voice to help her deal with the grief she experienced after her wife passed away two and a half years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The revelation sent Keating into tears, as he shared he was still coping with the death of his brother Ciar\u00e1n in 2023 after he also lost his mum Marie to cancer in 1998.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Continuing to inspire and entertain the nation with her powerhouse vocals, the mother-of-three said she couldn\u2019t quite believe she made it to the big showdown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI\u2019m a bit lost for words, actually, because I really only went on the show to just feel good and move through grief and do something different to what I was doing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cSo to be at the finale is just wild. Credit: Channel 7<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Morgan has been open with her grief throughout her journey on the show, often sharing vulnerable moments of her emotions on social media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">She admitted getting up on stage to perform for the nation while in a vulnerable state wasn\u2019t easy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI just had a strong feeling when the opportunity came up to audition that I should, even though I really did not want to, because standing in front of the nation and that much vulnerability is not a very comfortable place to be, so I just went there to find some joy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Regardless of taking home the $100,000 prize money and recording package, Morgan felt like she had already won.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI\u2019ve challenged myself in so many ways that I wouldn\u2019t even be able to name, and the village that has gathered around me has been extraordinary,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd so I\u2019m in surrender. Credit: Channel 7<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Despite being surrounded by the TV and arts industry since she was a child, Morgan said being on The Voice was \u201cone of the most magical times of my life\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI\u2019m just forever grateful for Ronan turning around for me. And we connected through grief, and he understands it, so it was just nice to be nurtured in that way.
