Johnny Furphy and Pascal Siakam nail a hilarious \u201cTraining Day\u201d Halloween skit in Indiana.<\/p>\n

Australian Johnny Furphy<\/a> and Indiana Pacers<\/a> teammate Pascal Siakam have gone all Denzel Washington<\/a> and Ethan Hawke<\/a> in 2001’s “Training Day<\/a>” to celebrate Halloween in the US today.<\/p>\n

Furphy, 21, and NBA champion Siakam reenact the diner scene between Oscar winner Washington’s corrupt LAPD narcotics detective Alonso Harris and Hawke’s trainee Jake Hoyt where Harris is trying to read his newspaper.<\/p>\n

“You don\u2019t know any stories? Harris asks Hoyt.<\/p>\n

“Alright, I\u2019ll tell you a story. This is a newspaper. Its ninety percent bulls**t but It\u2019s entertaining. That’s why I read it. Because it entertains me. You won’t let me read my paper, so you entertain me with your bulls*t. Tell me a story right now, go.”<\/p>\n

It’s hilarious with an excellent jump cut as part of the production. The pair lip sync their lines to perfection.<\/p>\n

Injury second-season wing Furphy exploded to global attention when he detonated on Chicago’s Noa Essengue<\/a> during the 2025 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

It’s been described as the greatest dunk of all-time by an Australian in the NBA. It created one of the most astonishing posters in league history.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t really plan it out,” Furphy admitted.<\/p>\n

“I don’t normally jump off two feet, so that’s a new experience for me.<\/p>\n

“It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, I just want to be as aggressive as possible. When I see an opportunity, I’m gonna take it.<\/p>\n
