$10 million. That’s more than how much Ryan Rollins, Cole Anthony, and AJ Green will take home from the Milwaukee Bucks this season. Not each; total. As pointed out by ESPN’s Bobby Marks, that’s a steal of a deal considering that trio just dropped a combined 58 points in a rousing win<\/a> over the Golden State Warriors without Giannis Antetokounmpo and is only just getting started.<\/p>\n

Jon Horst, Milwaukee’s general manager, deserves his flowers for finding these players and getting them to commit to such friendly contracts. He has always received plenty of negative press for his draft picks and signing over-the-hill veterans due to name recognition, but there is no denying that he has struck gold with these three pickups.<\/p>\n

Rollins, Green and Cole Anthony combined to score 58 points tonight.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with Ryan Rollins, who worked his way up from two-way player to standard contract player to a long-term player for the Bucks. This summer, Rollins inked a three-year deal worth $12 million to stay in Milwaukee. That has proven to be arguably the biggest steal of the offseason,<\/a> as Rollins is now averaging 18.6 points, five assists, and 2.4 steals per game. Bargain contract.<\/p>\n

While AJ Green inked a four-year contract extension worth $45 million last offseason, he is still on the books for just $2 million this season. Given that he’s having a career year, averaging 11.8 points while making 3.2 triples per game and playing stout defense every night, that’s some incredible value. Once he starts cranking up the 3-point tries, <\/a>this statement will only grow.<\/p>\n

Then there’s Cole Anthony. After a down year with the Magic, many questioned whether or not his best days were already behind him. The 25-year-old has shot that down quickly.<\/a> The change of scenery has completely rejuvenated the guard, who is averaging 13 points and a career-high 5.8 assists per game as a go-to spark plug off the bench. Not bad for a minimum contract.<\/p>\n

Not only are these three of the best contracts on the Milwaukee Bucks, but they are among the best in the entire NBA. These three will continue to be essential cogs for the Bucks, and they will do so on incredibly team-friendly contracts. Given how much money is thrown around in the NBA today, it is so refreshing that the Milwaukee Bucks have these players on such favorable deals.<\/p>\n

All of that goes without even mentioning Gary Trent Jr. While things haven’t quite clicked for the wing after inking a two-way deal worth $7.6 million, he’s still averaging 13.4 points and 1.8 steals. Once he starts hitting his shots with more consistency, he will undoubtedly earn more recognition like these three other Milwaukee Bucks players.<\/p>\n
