She explained that \u201cevery time\u201d she does an interview, Jean Grey is brought up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s interesting,\u201d Janssen said. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize that was such a big part. Every interview I do, that will come up, and of everything I say, that is going to be the only thing that\u2019s gonna be printed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tJanssen first appeared as Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, in 2000\u2019s \u201cX-Men,\u201d and then reprised the role in 2003\u2019s \u201cX2: X-Men United\u201d and 2006\u2019s \u201cX-Men: The Last Stand.\u201d She also briefly appeared in the role in 2013\u2019s \u201cThe Wolverine\u201d and 2014\u2019s \u201cX-Men: Days of Future Past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI should be flattered, I suppose, that this character has resonated with people,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s been so long, but it\u2019s nice that people are still talking about her. I\u2019m sure every single time there\u2019s a new movie that they\u2019re doing, like [is it] \u2018Doomsday?\u2019 \u2026 it\u2019ll come up again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAn \u201cX-Men\u201d reboot from the Marvel camp is currently in development with \u201cThunderbolts*\u201d director Jake Schreier at the helm. In an interview with The Playlist, Schreier said that the new \u201cX-Men\u201d film will be \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/x-men-reboot-mcu-different-hugh-jackman-movies-1236472075\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recognizably different<\/a> from what came before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBut to be able to explore all of the ideas that are inherent to that rich source material, but also at the scale inherent to the source material, that\u2019s like a very rare and fortunate opportunity,\u201d he continued. \u201cThat\u2019s very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Famke Janssen says Marvel has never invited her back to play Jean Grey.
