Notorious pitch invader ‘Jarvo’ has once again managed to slip past security at a sporting event after standing arm-in-arm with the Kangaroos<\/a> during the national anthem of the second Ashes Test.<\/p>\n

Jarvo, real name Daniel Jarvis, was dressed in a full Kangaroos kit with had Jarvo and the number 69 on the back. He put his arm around Cameron Munster at the end of the Kangaroos lineup.<\/p>\n

Munster and Patrick Carrigan both looked bemused by his presence but Munster put his arm around Jarvis as the anthem started.<\/p>\n

By the end of the anthem, the high shot from the coverage revealed Jarvis was gone.<\/p>\n

Jarvis has previously made his presence known during the closing ceremony at the Paris Olympics and invaded the pitch at Lord’s during the Test series between England and India.<\/p>\n

He did the same act in India during the cricket World Cup which prompted the ICC to ban him.<\/p>\n

Merseyside Police confirmed a man was detained following the incident at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Liverpool.<\/p>\n

“The 37-year-old man from Gravesend, Kent was detained at around 2.30pm after entering the pitch before the start of the the England v Australia Rugby League match,” the statement read.<\/p>\n

“He has been arrested on suspicion of possession of articles for use in fraud & fraud by false representation, and has been taken to a police station for questioning.”<\/p>\n

Post-match, Munster explained exactly what happened to Nine and The Sydney Morning Herald’s Michael Chammas.<\/p>\n

“Myself and Patty Carrigan have a bit of a superstition that we stand together for the anthem,” Munster said.<\/p>\n

“Some guy tried to get in between me and him and I said ‘nah’. Then he asked me again, ‘can I stand next to you and hold you’. I said righto mate. Do what you need to do. I just assumed he had some corporate package or some agreement with the Kangaroos that he could jump in for the anthem. Then I realised who it was. It was the guy who does that stuff on the regular. It took me a while to click on but it was pretty funny. He got me.<\/p>\n

“He tried talking to me but I didn’t give him a whole heap because no one tipped me up that it was going to happen. It was a bit weird, but I just went with it. He got me an absolute ripper.<\/p>\n

“Security guards or one of the people who work at the grounds went and grabbed him and were pretty aggressive with him. I knew straight away I got stitched up massively.”<\/p>\n
