<\/p>\nJake Paul is reportedly considering former UFC legends to replace Gervonta \u201cTank\u201d Davis, as his scheduled boxing match teeters on the edge of cancellation due to legal troubles.<\/p>\n
The YouTuber turned prizefighter is scheduled to throw down with Davis in an exhibition match on November 14 in Miami.<\/p>\n
However, the fight is now in major jeopardy after accusations of domestic violence, including battery and kidnapping, have been leveled against Davis by an ex-girlfriend. <\/p>\n
According to reports, Most Valuable Promotions are exploring the options of moving the date of the bout and are putting out feelers to possible new opponents for Paul.<\/p>\n
While a new opponent hasn\u2019t yet been revealed, two names that have been mentioned are former UFC stars France Ngannou and Nate Diaz.<\/p>\n
Ngannou, the powerhouse former UFC heavyweight champ, signed with the PFL in 2023 and has since had two high profile boxing bouts – including a split decision loss to Tyson Fury. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At 6\u20194\u201d and weighing more than 115 kgs, \u2018The Predator\u2019 would dwarf Paul and offer a contest that could draw massive viewership.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, fan-favourite Diaz, who retired from MMA in 2022, previously fought Paul in a 2023 boxing match and recently indicated that he\u2019d like a rematch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was injured in this fight,\u201d Diaz posted on X.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut they trippin, I still won this fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all good though, most people don\u2019t know s**t about boxing,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll get it back on the both the Paul sisters see u f**kers soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other names that have been mentioned as a possible replacement include Ryan Garcia, Terence Crawford and Anthony Joshua.<\/p>\n
Joshua\u2019s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has indicated that talks have begun regarding the fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere would have to be a lot of things that fall into place. But it\u2019s possible,\u201d Hearn told iFL TV.<\/p>\n
\u201cAJ is exclusive to DAZN, so without DAZN\u2019s consent or blessing or a deal that DAZN is happy with, we wouldn\u2019t go forward anyway.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been hounded by the media all day about, \u2018Have you spoke to Jake Paul?\u2019 Yes, I\u2019ve spoken to Nakisa, we\u2019ve talked over it and around it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hearn also confirmed that he had discussed the bout with Joshua – and the heavyweight\u2019s response was \u201cjust let me know where.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Most Valuable Promotions, released a statement regarding the current status of the fight and the accusations against Davis.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost Valuable Promotions immediately initiated an investigation upon learning of the civil lawsuit filed against Gervonta Davis in Miami-Dade County on Oct. 30, 2025,\u201d MVP said in the statement. <\/p>\n
\u201cAt this time, we are gathering information and reviewing the details to ensure any decision we make is thoroughly vetted. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe unequivocally condemn any form of violence and are committed to handling this matter with diligence and respect for all involved.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will make a determination on next steps once we have completed our review and consulted with the appropriate parties.
