Sydney Thunder sends its best wishes to Ravichandran Ashwin as he recovers from surgery to his knee that has ruled him out of KFC BBL|15.<\/p>\n
The impact of Ashwin\u2019s history-making signing will continue to be felt across the Thunder Nation, and the club is working closely with him on a revised schedule of activity during BBL|15, pending the progress of his recovery. More information will be shared in due course.<\/p>\n
Trent Copeland, Sydney Thunder General Manager, said: <\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone at Sydney Thunder was devastated to learn of Ash\u2019s knee injury that has ruled him out of BBL|15, and we wish him well in his recovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the moment we first spoke with Ash, his commitment to Thunder was clear. We are hopeful of welcoming him into our dugout for part of BBL|15, introducing him to our fans at events and building a long-term relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile disappointing for the club, we have built two championship-contending squads and expect to continue the progress of recent seasons in WBBL|11 and BBL|15. We can\u2019t wait to get back in front of our fans in Western Sydney for two massive campaigns.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ravichandran Ashwin said:<\/p>\n
