This tour-validated setup minimises torque and simplifies the stroke. Its introduction across the Phantom and Studio Style lines gives golfers a new option within Scotty Cameron’s proven range of shaft and neck configurations.

“In the last few years, we’ve seen a growing number of golfers who want to minimise the feel of face rotation in the stroke via putter setup,” said Austie Rollinson, Scotty Cameron’s Senior Director of Putter R&D. “And as a designer, what excites me most about OC is that it gives golfers options. We now have an entirely new configuration for golfers who want to feel a square, straight-back-and-through path.”

OC design features, including tour-proven head shapes, chain-link face milling, minimal shaft lean and precisely matched shafts and grips, allow for a natural transition from traditional putters to a lower-torque setup. The result is reduced face rotation and improved consistency without sacrificing feel.

“When we went to work on low-torque designs, as with all products, we started with tour player feedback,” said Rollinson. “It became clear that low-torque putters often come at the cost of feel, so we designed our OC models to minimise face rotation while maintaining responsiveness and feedback.”

OC technology and features

Low-torque design: Shaft placement set back from the leading edge and in line with the head’s front-to-back centre of gravity minimises torque and promotes a square feel for golfers seeking to eliminate face rotation.

Traditional feel and feedback: The Phantom 11R OC features Scotty Cameron’s chain-link face milling across the face, while the Fastback OC incorporates the Studio Style lineup’s Studio Carbon Steel face insert with the same pattern. Both deliver a softer sound and enhanced feedback to help identify strike location — a key factor in low-torque performance.

Minimal shaft lean: Each OC model is built with one degree of shaft lean, encouraging a neutral setup and natural hand position similar to what many top putters prefer. The subtle lean also provides a clear, unobstructed topline at address.

Loft and lie customisation: Adjustments to loft or lie angle can be made without compromising the low-torque characteristics, allowing players to fine-tune specifications to their stroke.

Heavier head weight, custom shaft and grip: OC models feature head weights 15 grams heavier than standard Scotty Cameron designs for a more connected feel. Each is paired with a custom black shaft engineered to complement the increased mass without muting feedback, and fitted with a tapered Matador Mid grip.

Model breakdown

Phantom 11R OC
Built from the Phantom 11 platform, this stable, high-MOI multi-material mallet features a tour-inspired 11R shape with softer, rounded edges. A full chain-link milled face delivers consistent feedback, while a single alignment line extends directly to the shaft position. The Phantom 11R OC is also available in left-handed configuration.

Studio Style Fastback OC
Sharing the footprint of the 2025 Fastback model, this ring-weighted mid-mallet blends 303 stainless steel with 6061 aircraft aluminium. Its Studio Carbon Steel face insert, paired with the chain-link milling pattern, enhances sound, feel and roll. A single sight line provides a clean alignment cue at address, completing a refined design built for precision on the greens.

SPECS

Available lengths: 33, 34, 35 inches

Loft: 3.5 degrees

Lie angle: 70 degrees

Shaft lean: 1 degree

Dexterity: RH (Phantom 11R OC, Studio Style Fastback OC), LH (Phantom 11R OC)

AVAILABILITY

New Scotty Cameron OC putter models will be in select Australian and New Zealand golf shops from Friday, November 28.

PRICING

Australia $899 | New Zealand $999

For more visit www.titleist.com.au/scotty-cameron-putters

© Golf Australia.
