Attracted by the food. And a bunch of campers learnt the hard way that on Rotto, you don\u2019t leave out <a class=\"css-445i33-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.perthnow.com.au\/food\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">food<\/a> for the filching.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Milla Bebee posted her trip on TikTok, titling the video: \u201cAverage Rottnest experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The footage starts with the Rottnest Island campers returning to their campsite in the dark and unzipping the door to their tent \u2014 and to their shock finding a bunch of quokkas have taken up residence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Two of the iconic marsupials can be seen immediately to the left, with one tucking into a bag of bread rolls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The camera, with famous opera song O Mio Babbino Caro playing in the background, then pans to the right, showing another quokka hiding in the corner and a number of others on mattresses and sleeping bags.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It appears the critters have also rummaged through some of the gear left in the tent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">A woman can be heard shouting, \u201cGuys, holy f..k, there\u2019s so many\u201d, before the gutting realisation that they\u2019ve done a lot more \u2014 and worse \u2014 than eat the food and mess up clothes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cGuys, guys, they\u2019ve shat on the bed, they\u2019ve shat on the bed, they\u2019ve shat on the bed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cGuys &#8230; No! No! No!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The hilarious post attracted hundreds of comments, with one saying: \u201cRookie mistake leaving food out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cIt should all be stored in a hard esky or plastic tun with a lockable lid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cThey won\u2019t bite \u2014 they are very tame and friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Another said: \u201cI love how the quokkas just keep eating while you\u2019re yelling \ud83d\ude02\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">A third added: \u201cThey just wanted quick selfies.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It was a quokka invasion.
