Millie Bobby Brown<\/a> has spoken about her new baby<\/a> publicly for the first time \u2014 insisting she wants to keep her out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Brown and Bongiovi announced in August<\/a> that they had become parents via adoption.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with British Vogue<\/a>, the 21-year-old was asked about her daughter\u2019s personality. However, the interviewer noted that the Stranger Things star pushed back on the question with \u201cfiery conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, it\u2019s really important to protect her and her story until she\u2019s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that\u2019s something we\u2019d support,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She reiterated that she\u2019s prioritizing her daughter\u2019s privacy, since her baby is \u201cso little\u201d right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs her parents, it\u2019s our job to protect her from [the spotlight],\u201d she continued, noting there are no plans to share her baby\u2019s name until \u201cshe\u2019s ready to decide for herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Brown did open up about starting her family with Bongiovi, calling it \u201ca beautiful, amazing journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s taught us so much already,\u201d Brown said about her daughter. \u201cPerspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It\u2019s just endless joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to who looks after her daughter the most, Brown said she and her husband are \u201c50-50 on everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life \u2013 he is just the most amazing dad,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Brown and Bongiovi announced the news of their adoption in a statement shared on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,\u201d the Enola Holmes actor wrote. \u201cWe are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown previously spoke about her desire to have children during a March episode of the SmartLess podcast, saying that it is important for her to have a \u201cbig family\u201d because she and Bongiovi both have multiple siblings.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it\u2019s so important to start a family,\u201d she explained at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me personally, it\u2019s a huge thing. Jake was like, \u2018We cannot do that until we get married.\u2019 So that was his thing. And my thing was, \u2018I really want a family.\u2019 I really want a big family. I\u2019m one of four; he\u2019s one of four. So it is definitely in our future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in May 2024 with their closest friends and family in attendance.
