The biggest event of the PGA Legends Tour season hits Sydney this week, with some notable names in Australian golf contesting the Sharp EIT Solutions Australian PGA Seniors Championship at Richmond Golf Club.<\/p>\n
Richmond GC is hosting the event for the 11th time. Defending champion Andre Stolz and fellow winners Jason Norris, Guy Wall, Peter Senior and David McKenzie are in a star-studded over-50s field.<\/p>\n
David Bransdon and Brendan Jones have returned from the PGA Tour Champions in the US ready to take on the likes of Peter Lonard, Peter O\u2019Malley, John Senden and Nathan Green. The PGA Legends Tour welcomes a new face in Kiwi Mahal Pearce who turned 50 on Monday.<\/p>\n
The tournament\u2019s honour roll includes major champions Orville Moody and Lee Trevino.<\/p>\n
In addition to a $160,000 prize purse, the winner earns a place in the field at the BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland later this month. That is co-sanctioned between the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and the DP World Tour.<\/p>\n

There is also a new hospitality offering at the par-3 ninth hoping to witness a hole-in-one, while no champion is safe until in the clubhouse given the difficult stretch starting at the par-4 13th.<\/p>\n
The 54-hole championship tees off on Friday with the second and final rounds to be broadcast live on Kayo Sports and Fox Sports 503.
