{"id":267051,"date":"2025-11-06T18:16:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T18:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/267051\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T18:16:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T18:16:09","slug":"alex-marquez-free-can-take-more-risks-at-portugal-motogp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/267051\/","title":{"rendered":"Alex Marquez \u2018free\u2019, \u2018can take more risks\u2019 at Portugal MotoGP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gresini\u2019s Alex Marquez says he can race \u201cmore freely\u201d at the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix and \u201ctake some risks\u201d now that runner-up spot in the standings is secured.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old completed a historic 1-2 for the Marquez family last time out at the Malaysian Grand Prix, when he wrapped up runner-up spot in the championship standings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/935450\/alex-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Marquez<\/a> then capped off the weekend with a dominant victory in the grand prix to bring his total for the season to three.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead to this weekend\u2019s Portuguese Grand Prix, Marquez says he is able to take more risks in the final two rounds, but views the coming races as the beginning of his preparations for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLess pressure, because nobody said to me I\u2019m the favourite one! Jokes aside, I\u2019m looking forward to starting the weekend,\u201d he said on Thursday at Portimao.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the riders want to finish the season in a good way, with a good feeling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, it\u2019s the way we need to approach the weekend, giving our maximum, and especially after being the runner-up of \u201925, I can ride again a little bit more freely on the bike, making things in a better way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I will try my best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s true that Portimao is quite a challenging track.
