Hilary Duff<\/a> doesn’t remember making one of her most well-known songs.\n<\/p>\n During a Wednesday, Nov. 5 interview with Jake Shane on Therapuss<\/a>, the actress and singer revealed that she had no recollection of recording The Lizzie McGuire Movie<\/a> song “What Dreams Are Made of.”\n<\/p>\n Shane, 26, mentioned he had watched The Lizzie McGuire Movie over the weekend and recalled his experience of watching Duff, 38, perform “What Dreams Are Made of.”\n<\/p>\n Hilary Duff as Isabella in ‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie’ in 2003; Hilary Duff in 2025.<\/p>\n Disney; Therapuss with Jake Shane<\/p>\n “I was like, this song is actually poetic,” he said, noting he was “also really high but it was fantastic.”\n<\/p>\n Shane then asked Duff if she thought “Holy s—, this song is amazing.”\n<\/p>\n “No…very much, no. Absolutely not,” the How I Met Your Father star replied.\n<\/p>\n “I don’t even remember recording that song,” said Duff. “But I will say now I love it. And when I was filming the movie, I loved it. I could barely remember any of that stuff,” said Duff.\n<\/p>\n When Shane asked if the “Why Not” singer didn’t think it “represented” her, she revealed she felt like her on-screen persona.\n<\/p>\n “Actually, when I sing it now, I feel a lot of joy. I just think that there was such a separation back then of me and my music and Lizzie McGuire,” said Duff.\n<\/p>\n Because she didn’t own the song, Duff claimed she “didn’t really get to perform that song live” at the time.\n<\/p>\n The Lizzie McGuire\u00a0Movie \u2014 a 90-minute rom-com that made $55 million at the box office \u2014\u00a0was released in 2003.
