Survivor 49 contestant Nate Moore, one of the creative forces behind Black Panther and Captain America, has decided to keep that part of his identity hidden, a choice he now admits may have cost him the game.<\/p>\n

Nate Moore regrets not telling Survivor 49 costars about his Marvel projects<\/p>\n

Nate Moore, known for producing some of Marvel\u2019s biggest blockbusters, arrived on the Survivor 49 island with a r\u00e9sum\u00e9 that would have made him an instant standout. But instead, he chose to play under the radar, concealing his Hollywood career from his fellow contestants. That decision, he now reveals, might have been a mistake.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did. And again, hindsight is 20\/20,\u201d Moore told Parade<\/a> when asked whether he considered revealing his Marvel background. \u201cWould I do it the same way? I\u2019m not sure. Because my fear was, if I say it, no one\u2019s ever gonna give me a million dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore explained that keeping his career secret made it harder to form personal connections with his tribemates. While others bonded over their favorite Marvel films, he was forced to stay silent. <\/p>\n

\u201cI did have to not talk a lot about my life, because I wasn\u2019t talking about the thing that I do a lot,\u201d he shared. \u201cRizo is a huge Marvel fan. They were talking about it, and I just sit there as they\u2019re talking about their favorite Marvel movies, being like, \u2018I\u2019ve worked on that. I worked on that too.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore started strong in the early days of Survivor 49. Teaming up with Savannah Louie, Rizo Velovic, and Shannon Fairweather on the Uli tribe, he applied his real-world team-building skills. <\/p>\n

However, when key ally Shannon was unexpectedly voted out, the game\u2019s dynamics shifted dramatically. Miscommunication and alliance fractures left Moore vulnerable, and despite his careful gameplay, he became the \u201csafest\u201d target.<\/p>\n

Moore admitted he sometimes feels \u201cbuyer\u2019s remorse\u201d for keeping his Marvel past under wraps. \u201cI do wonder if I would have led differently, if I would have gotten farther,\u201d he said. \u201cThat would have been a way to connect with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
