Die My Love? More like Watch, My Readers. There\u2019s actually quite a bit to dig into this week \u2014 probably because it\u2019s after Halloween and everyone\u2019s social batteries are low. We\u2019re getting Pedro Pascal summer d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu with two of his movies hitting streaming, a new series from Breaking Bad\u2019s auteur, and Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein, which is about to see its widest audience possible. Now, here\u2019s everything.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in a movie together is a beautiful sentence for those who were teenagers in the 2010s. But instead of an epic franchise, the two are a couple in Lynne Ramsay\u2019s suffocating drama about a woman dealing with postpartum depression and isolation amid a move from New York to Montana.<\/p>\n

Guillermo del Toro\u2019s take on the classic Mary Shelley tale has been having a great run in theaters. If you\u2019ve been unlucky enough to live in an area without a showing, now\u2019s your time \u2014 well, to watch on streaming. Jacob Elordi is staggeringly good as the creature of Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac). Del Toro is no stranger to monsters and gorgeous sets<\/a>, so you know what you\u2019re in for when you tune into Frankenstein.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Vince Gilligan\u2019s first big project after Better Call Saul reunites him with Rhea Seehorn in a mega-high-concept genre show that\u2019s quite different from his recent work. But it plays with many of the same themes: satisfaction, what people mean to each other, ambition, and, of course, Albuquerque. \u2014 Kathryn VanArendonk<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dan Trachtenberg\u2019s first Predator movie, Prey, had the hunt-loving alien battling a Comanche warrior in 1700s America. Rather than retread historic ground, he set Predator: Badlands in the future, but the real twist is that this time, the Predator is the protagonist. A young Predator must travel to a perilous world in search of the most dangerous game of all in order to prove himself, encountering a damaged android played by Elle Fanning along the way.\u00a0\u2014James Grebey<\/p>\n

\u27bd\u00a0The Predator series did follow through with the hunting-through-history promise, featuring fights with Vikings and samurai and ninjas in Dan Trachtenberg\u2019s animated film, Predator: Killer of Killers. James A. Garfield isn\u2019t one of our best-known presidents. This miniseries tries to change that by focusing on his rise to power and various civil reforms before his assassination by a onetime admirer. Michael Shannon stars alongside Matthew Macfadyen<\/a> \u2014 plus Betty Gilpin! \u2014 Roxana Hadadi\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This high-stakes historical legal drama has Rami Malek\u2019s military psychiatrist interviewing Nazi war criminals to see if they\u2019re fit to stand trial. He finds himself facing off against Hitler\u2019s right-hand man, Hermann G\u00f6ring (played by Russell Crowe, who can add \u201cGerman\u201d to his list of accents along with Italian<\/a>, Russian<\/a>, and Greek<\/a>). \u2014J.G.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kim Kardashian probably didn\u2019t go to law school to be cast in a Ryan Murphy procedural about L.A. divorce attorneys, but honestly, if she did, it might have been worth it. She stars with Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash as well as Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, and, inevitably, Sarah Paulson. \u2014 K.V.A.<\/p>\n

\u27bd\u00a0 Is All\u2019s Fair the most Ryan Murphy show<\/a> Ryan Murphy has done yet?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s November, so brace yourself for a whole lot of Wicked. The promo has already started, with a Brazil premiere sans Ariana Grande<\/a> and Jonathan Bailey being crowned People\u2019s \u201cSexiest Man Alive<\/a>,\u201d but NBC is kicking it up a notch with a dedicated special with the stars of the musical movie singing fan-favorite numbers. We\u2019ll probably even get a sneak peak at the brand-new songs for Grande and Cynthia Erivo. How wonderful<\/a>. (Streaming on Peacock.) <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

I suppose this reality series was popular enough to warrant a second season. It\u2019s definitely a demented enough premise to get people to tune in. It\u2019s just 456 normies competing for $4 million. Truly weird stuff.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The next movie<\/a> in the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn\u2019t coming out until the very end of July next year, but Marvel\u2019s First Family is taking a second step onto Disney+ this week. Maybe reliving Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing\u2019s retro-futurist adventure will make the wait go by a little quicker. \u2014J.G.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Mason Thames<\/a> saw Pedro Pascal\u2019s crown slipping just a tad and swooped in. But it was Pascal summer in July when he had Eddington, The Fantastic Four, and The Materialists out in theaters. All three are now on streaming as Celine Song\u2019s unconventional rom \u2026 drama hits HBO Max this week. Pascal plays the suave rich man attempting to woo matchmaker Lucy (Dakota Johnson). Chris Evans completes that love triangle as Lucy\u2019s ex, a down-on-his-luck actor.<\/p>\n
