Princess Anne has begun her first day of her royal tour of Australia after touching down in Sydney despite rumours suggesting she would land in Melbourne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Princess Royal landed on Saturday morning with official visits to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria on the itinerary for the next four days.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She strolled through the arrivals gate wearing a navy, double-breasted blazer, white shirt, and matching white pants, before heading to an awaiting convoy.<\/p>\n
She will attend various events in her capacity as Colonel-in-Chief to the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, while the scandal surrounding her younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, continues to develop back in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
She was accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, as a guest of the Australian Defence Force, marking 100 years since the formation of the corps.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Buckingham Palace revealed the Princess will lay a wreath at the Sydney War Cemetery in Rookwood on Sunday, as she is president of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. \u00a0<\/p>\n
On Monday, she is expected to participate in several events related to the Signal Corps centenary.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She will also lay a wreath at the Anzac Memorial on Remembrance Day, her final day in Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
