It was the festival of Rufus Du Sol inside RAC Arena on Friday night as the electronic trio kicked off their Australian tour in Perth to legions of fans ready to bust a move.<\/p>\n

The EDM legends \u2014 Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt \u2014 put on an incredible show in front of thousands of fans who danced their hearts out to the group\u2019s best tunes.<\/p>\n

Despite playing in cities and venues all around the globe, RDS said kicking off the Australian leg of the tour in Perth was \u201creally special\u201d and had been \u201clooking forward to it all year\u201d as they made the journey home.<\/p>\n

Taking the stage just before 9pm, they opened with their 2024 single Lately to get the party started and bass dropping.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the two-hour spectacle, RDS performed a stellar discography, including tracks from 2013 \u2014 Sundream and Desert Night \u2014 all the way through to their newest record.<\/p>\n

It was clear when fan favourites like You Were Right, On My Knees and Underwater were performed, as the energy in the room spiked, phones were on record, and women shot up on shoulders, keen to catch the action with a clear view.<\/p>\n

The group finished up \u2014 or so the crowd thought \u2014 with one of their most popular tracks Innerbloom before waving farewell to fans as they left the stage.<\/p>\n

However, after a few minutes, flashing LED lights came on and the three emerged once again, not just for one song but three more \u2014 Break My Love, No Place and Music is Better.<\/p>\n

RDS proved there really was no place Perth fans would rather be as the arena exuded happiness in response to the group\u2019s ability to conjure feelings of euphoria.<\/p>\n

Main vocalist Lindqvist was also impressed with the vibes they were creating as he described the fans as \u201cbeautiful\u201d and hoped the night would be another memorable gig.<\/p>\n

\u201c(About) 15 years ago, we didn\u2019t think we\u2019d be playing in front of this many people, but you guys keep sharing our music and buying tickets, so we can keep doing what we love,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The awesome sound show wouldn\u2019t be complete without a stunning light and visuals display, and of course, RDS delivered.<\/p>\n

Despite harsh white lights almost blinding some people, blue and green lasers lit up the room and created a cool 3D effect.<\/p>\n

Other lights flashed to the beat of the music, and white confetti was unleashed over the crowd twice.<\/p>\n

It is also worth mentioning the incredible cameraman who expertly live filmed parts of the concert that were projected onto the large screens above the stage.<\/p>\n

He darted about the stage and weaved in between the DJ decks to create a fast-paced and creative vision.<\/p>\n

Rufus Du Sol\u2019s Perth show proved once again why they are one of the most celebrated Aussie electronic dance groups.<\/p>\n

Armed with such well-loved music that\u2019s impossible not to dance to, that summer festival feeling was well and truly alive with fans ending the night feeling satisfied.<\/p>\n

The verdict: Four out of five stars.<\/p>\n
