A monster $3million contract offer from\u00a0rebel rugby union competition R360 could result in Broncos enforcer Payne Haas quitting the NRL<\/a>, effective immediately.<\/p>\n

As the hulking prop prepares to play for Samoa against New Zealand in the Pacific Championship final on Sunday at Commbank Stadium in Sydney<\/a>, reports have emerged that Haas has been offered life-changing money.<\/p>\n

While a move to R360 would end his NRL career given the likely 10-year bans in place<\/a>, the 25-year-old could take home up to $10million by switching footy codes.<\/p>\n

The generational front-rower is believed to be currently earning $1.1million a season at Red Hill.<\/p>\n

‘I’m not sure where Payne is with R360, but I know he really loves the Broncos,’ premiership-winning coach Michael Maguire said.<\/p>\n

‘He has been through everything at this club…(and from where I sit)\u00a0Payne is focused on jumping into another season.<\/p>\n

‘It was great to see him enjoy what we achieved at the club this year.’<\/p>\n

Another potential reason for a move away from the NRL is the fact that both of Haas’ parents are in jail.<\/p>\n

Haas is the sole guardian of his two younger siblings, as well as being a father himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following Brisbane’s grand final triumph last month, winning more silverware with Samoa could prove crucial.<\/p>\n

This week Samoan\u00a0captain Jarome Luai confirmed Haas has relished his time in camp.<\/p>\n

‘I can see he is enjoying himself,’ the skipper said.<\/p>\n

‘I think it’s a bit of a different side to what he is used to with all the cultural stuff \u2013 speaking in Samoan, doing the dances.<\/p>\n

‘I think its really brought the kid out of him in a way.’<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Warriors star and Haas’ Samoan teammate Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has already committed to R360 – and Ryan Papenhuyzen could follow after he was granted a release from the Melbourne Storm.<\/a><\/p>\n

Daily Mail understands Papenhuyzen is contemplating a stint playing rugby in Japan before joining R360, which is due to kick-off next October.<\/p>\n
