Man United may be able to sign the biggest shirt sleeve sponsorship deal in the Premier League worth \u00a330million when there existing agreement with DXC Technology expires at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

That is according to football finance expert\u00a0Dr Dan Plumley<\/a>\u00a0who exclusively told\u00a0Football Insider that Man United will be pushing to increase their revenue from a shirt sleeve sponsor.<\/p>\n

Man United currently have a \u00a320m deal with DXC Technology<\/a> which has run since 2022, and the club have since been bought by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.<\/p>\n

Middle East investors have shown interest in Man United<\/a> recently, but Ratcliffe has been making changes at the club and wants to build a new increased capacity stadium to increase revenue.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Plumley reveals that Man United<\/a> already have the best shirt sleeve deal in the Premier League, and reaching \u00a330m could be a tough ask.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will be wanting an increase\u00a0whether or not\u00a0they get it\u00a0and you can base that on the numbers that we know, and\u00a0and\u00a0they are reported, as you say if\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0the right fit,\u201d Plumley said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the best guess scenario but that deal for Manchester United is the joint highest in the Premier League if the report figures are correct.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cManchester City is the other one at \u00a320m. The next couple on the list for Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are around 10 to\u00a0\u00a312m reportedly.\u00a0The bar in the Premier League, United are at the top of that anyway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019d\u00a0be looking for at least the same again,\u00a0If\u00a0not a little bit more, but, of course, they\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0had the supporting success to leverage, they look like they are picking up a little bit now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat will be into the conversations, but they are still a huge commercial draw for sponsors.\u00a0People still want to be associated with them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0a big deal in terms of the\u00a0the\u00a0biggest shirts sleeve deal in in world football is Real Madrid, and\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0rumored\u00a0to be worth \u20ac70m per season.\u00a0And now\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0huge.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some clubs\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0even have shirt sponsor deals that are that high.\u00a0So\u00a0if those figures are correct,\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0got some way to go to break that ceiling, but in the Premier League,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0one of the best deals of the minute.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo\u00a0I think\u00a0they\u2019ll\u00a0be looking for at least the same again.\u00a0There is an argument that you could push for \u00a330m, you know, look to grow it incremental and still be, you know, under the biggest deal in the world, but that goes back to the\u00a0on pitch\u00a0success and everything else around it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0sure\u00a0they\u2019ll\u00a0be looking to grow it, but \u00a320m is\u00a0a good number\u00a0at the minute in the context of that league.\u00a0If they can get that again,\u00a0I think\u00a0that\u2019ll\u00a0be a decent deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Europe could define sponsor deal<\/p>\n

Sources though have told Football Insider that Man United may struggle to agree a deal worth \u00a320m<\/a> should they not qualify for European football this season.<\/p>\n

Plumley also agrees that European football could be a key indicator to the price of any deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0talked about there, which we\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0always see the detail, but we know what happens is there might be add-ons\u00a0and bonuses linked to these things,\u201d Plumley said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that would be factored in [qualifying for Europe].\u00a0It could be a flat deal with bonus incentives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
