Former Philadelphia Eagles centre Jason Kelce says he didn\u2019t mean to insult Canada when he questioned why he was supposed to care about the World Series in a podcast episode earlier this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kelce issued the clarification on social media Friday after a clip of his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast, which he hosts with his younger brother Travis, showed him questioning why he would get excited about a \u201cCanadian baseball team\u201d going to the World Series against \u201ca team that spends more money than everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n

His comments drew criticism from several Canadian baseball fans, who called his take disappointing.<\/p>\n

The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> went to Game 7 of a tumultuous World Series last weekend against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the highest payroll of all MLB teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs tight-end, praised both teams for pushing the World Series into seven games of \u201cabsolutely epic\u201d baseball.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Friday, the elder Kelce said on social media he was \u201cbamboozled\u201d that the podcast\u2019s social media team \u201cfailed to show the whole story.\u201d<\/p>\n
