The session began as scheduled, and every driver fitted slick tyres, as only a few wet patches remained on the main straight and through the first corners.However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/breaking-news\/chaos-in-brazil-as-piastri-and-multiple-drivers-are-out-of-the-race\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">that caught out several drivers<\/a>, including championship contender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-drivers\/oscar-piastri\" title=\"Oscar Piastri\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar Piastri<\/a>, Franco Colapinto, and Nico Hulkenberg.The chance of rain for Sunday\u2019s Grand Prix is described as \u201cslight to moderate,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/fia\" title=\"FIA\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FIA<\/a>\u2019s weather system.<\/p>\n<p>After morning rain, there will be a 40% chance of precipitation when the race begins at 14:00 local time (17:00 BST \/ 18:00 CET). During the race, temperatures are expected to be between 18\u201319\u00b0C, with asphalt temperatures ranging from 25\u201331\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Wind gusts could also trouble drivers, reaching speeds of 30\u201340 kph.<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen faces an uphill battleWhile championship leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-drivers\/lando-norris\" title=\"Lando Norris\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lando Norris<\/a> starts from pole position today, Verstappen was eliminated in Q1.
