SAN DIEGO – Despite not qualifying for the NCAA Doubles Championship, the Belmont University men’s tennis tandem of senior Sabi Roi and junior Stefan Vedovelli won the doubles consolation title at the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Conference Masters Championships in California Saturday. The duo won three matches in the back draw of the national event across Friday and Saturday to capture the consolation crown.

“Stefan and Sabi had a great all-around weekend in doubles,” commented head coach Jeff Cero. “Even in their loss to Texas Tech Thursday, they played a high level of tennis and just missed their chances early on in the tiebreak. From there, they continued to play very well and build on their success match by match. I’m very proud of them; it was a great way to conclude our fall season.”
