Lewis Hamilton\u2019s first Formula 1 campaign with Ferrari hasn\u2019t been what he dreamed of so far in 2025.<\/p>\n

The Briton sits sixth in the drivers\u2019 championship<\/a>, but is yet to reach the podium for the Scuderia. They have not had anywhere near enough pace.<\/p>\n

Ferrari<\/a> have tried a lot, including bringing new upgrades at recent races, but Charles Leclerc is the one who seems to be able to maximise their offerings.<\/p>\n

Hamilton\u2019s<\/a> focus may already have turned to the 2026 F1 regulations<\/a>, with a reset ahead of a new set of rules being advantageous, considering his poor recent form. He gets another fresh start.<\/p>\n

Heading towards the summer break, Hamilton must answer one \u2018big question\u2019<\/a> of whether it\u2019s actually possible for him to win at Ferrari.<\/p>\n

Even ex-teammate Nico Rosberg has been critical of him, believing that Hamilton might be making \u2018excuses\u2019 at Ferrari<\/a> for his poor performance.<\/p>\n

Despite Hamilton\u2019s \u2018bleak reality\u2019 at Ferrari<\/a>, he continues to battle on and hasn\u2019t given up on his hopes of securing an eighth world title.<\/p>\n

The last time he won a crown was back in 2020, during a season filled with intense fights and domination at stages.<\/p>\n

During the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix, following a late safety car, he had a coming together with Alex Albon\u2019s<\/a> Red Bull, which cost the Thai driver his first podium and possibly also a victory. It had also happened the year before in Brazil.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Sky Sports F1\u2019s<\/a> Belgian Grand Prix broadcast, Martin Brundle<\/a> believes that it nearly cost Albon his Formula 1 career.<\/p>\n

\u201c[A] bit of history between these two isn\u2019t there? When Alex was a Red Bull driver, Lewis basically took him out didn\u2019t he? In Austria and Brazil,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt kind of almost cost, I think it almost cost Albon that drive in the end, for not getting the results.\u201d<\/p>\n

How much longer is Lewis Hamilton expected to be at Ferrari for?<\/p>\n

Hamilton signed a two-year Ferrari deal with the option for one more at the start of 2024, giving him the chance to assess his situation at the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

If the team are in a position to compete, he can opt to remain with them for another year, but he has a lot of work to do to get them into a winning position currently.<\/p>\n

No one believes Ferrari will improve<\/a> without a drastic change over the winter, but it appears that they are open to new ideas.<\/p>\n
